My research is situated at the intersection of media studies, digital economics, and computer science, focusing on personalization and recommender systems in media markets. I am particularly interested in discovery processes through recommenders. I study how organizations use recommender systems and personalization technologies to shape what people encounter online. My work explores how these systems are designed, evaluated, and aligned with strategic goals, and how that influences what becomes visible, or valued in digital culture and media markets.
